Vilson Degen is a truck driver and recently left a deep depression that took away even the desire to come to church. On a recent visit of Pastor Carlos Kracke, from Lutheran Hour, to promote evangelistic activities in the city of Guarapari – ES, Vilson became a member of the Group of the Evangelists, supporting the Lutheran Hour Ministries and receiving outreach materials to distribute to the people. He found the happiness to share Christ with people, and often asks to the local pastor, Wallace Uhylig, more samples of Christian booklets produced by Lutheran Hour.
Vilson’s life has been very blessed by God, and together with his wife and daughter, actively participates in the Lutheran Church of Guarapari, including planning his schedule with the truck in order to have time to attend services.
Vilson now is doing his part in evangelism, distributing booklets when he stops at gas stations and cargo terminals throughout Brazil. In his trips, he’s always in contact with another truck drivers and workers with family problems and bad situations, with which it shares the materials he receives.
According to Vilson, who receive all the materials appear to be happy and grateful for the precious present. It is clear also the joy of this brother in share the Gospel in this way. And the pastor Wallace concludes: “So he and we all thank the Lutheran Hour for the support they have given to the work of our church here and all around the country.”
