My name is Arlete and since I’m a member of Group of Evangelists of Lutheran Hour I’ve received booklets and other evangelistic materials that I shared with friends and relatives, because I know that these materials will help them. But I never thought that a booklet would be so important in my own life. I remember when I arrived in my home and saw the booklet “When everything ends” (a booklet about how to deal with death). I didn’t understand what that booklet was about, but I read it completely, took a shower and went sleep. Late at night, I received a call, and somebody was telling me that my brother had been involved in a motorcycle accident.
I went to the hospital immediately and there I received the notice my brother died. I couldn’t believe that it was happening. In that moment, it was amazing, but I felt strong to get in the hospital and watch my brother’s body. All family was crying, and one thing was clear for me: With that booklet about dead, God was preparing me and giving me the opportunity to comfort my relatives and friends. It was time to tell about the eternal life in Jesus Christ and how Christian people must be sure about it.
I’d like to thank you so much, people from Lutheran Hour, because you all stayed with me in the hardly times of my life.
This is a testimony from Arlete Hoffmann, city of Pancas, Estate of Espírito Santo – Brazil.
